Sharon Thompson was promoted to Chief Financial Officer for Vectra Bank
Colorado, most recently serving as the bank’s Senior Vice President,
Director of Finance. Thompson has nearly 30 years of experience in
the financial services industry and more than 10 years directing
financial planning and analysis groups. As Vectra’s CFO, she will
oversee the bank’s financial performance and risk management while
managing the company’s finance, accounting, operations, facilities
and community reinvestment teams.
During her tenure at Vectra, Thompson has developed a high-performing
finance team that delivers a broad array of critical data and analyses
to support decision making bank wide. In her new position, she will play
a key role in developing, monitoring and evaluating overall corporate
strategy with the CEO and senior leaders, with an emphasis on bottom
line performance and enhancing shareholder value.
Thompson has been with Vectra Bank since 2008, and prior, was the Finance
Manager at CoBiz Financial, Inc. for four years and the Manager
Financial Analysis at Invesco Funds Group, Inc.
She holds a BA in Mathematics from Wellesley College and an MBA from the
University of Colorado. An avid biker and traveler, Thompson has also
climbed Kilimanjaro, a feat she accomplished while serving as a Peace
Corps volunteer in Kenya with her now–husband.
