What We're Doing

Branch Locations
  • We are complying with federal and local guidelines to implement social distancing standards throughout our footprint.
  • If you have been exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19 or want to limit your risk of exposure, we suggest using one of the following alternative ways to bank with us:
    • Drive-up
    • ATM
    • Night drop
  • We continue to develop contingency plans that may vary based on location and local needs.
  • We have implemented enhanced cleaning protocols in our facilities to minimize the risk of person-to-person transmission of the virus.
  • All employees have been instructed to stay home if they are feeling sick.

Branch Sanitization
Custodial services at our branches and other bank facilities have been enhanced with hospital-grade disinfectant and cleaning frequencies have increased. Clients experiencing symptoms of illness are asked to use drive-through teller windows for service. Our branches are kept well stocked with hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and latex gloves, and we are encouraging employees to use them at their workstations.

Handshakes
While we traditionally encourage shaking hands, we have adopted the CDC's social distancing recommendations. View more on the CDC's website about practicing healthy hygiene etiquette when coughing and sneezing and by washing hands regularly.

Group Events
In person events scheduled for the coming weeks have been postponed. If you were invited to attend a postponed event, you should anticipate a direct communication regarding the cancellation.

Preparation and Prevention Tips

  • Promote healthy hygiene by washing hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces.

  • If you are ill, stay home and rest. Seek proper medical attention as needed. Consider using a telephone doctor service to avoid the doctor's office or emergency room. Encourage friends, family members and employees to stay home if they feel ill.

  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, or use the inside of your elbow.

  • Throw used tissues in the trash, and then immediately wash your hands.

  • Consider replacing a handshake with just a smile or wave.

  • Visit the CDC website for more information on the Coronavirus.

Don't Fall Victim to Coronavirus Scams

The Coronavirus offers fertile ground for criminals because it plays on people's fear, which can cause normally careful individuals to let their guard down and fall victim to scams.

Financial scams are becoming more common as people are affected by the economic impact of the virus. Criminals may call or email you, pretending to be from your bank, mortgage company or credit card provider, offering assistance with a short-term emergency loan, a plan to suspend your payments, etc. Of course, you'll need to offer personal information in order to apply, which they can use to steal your identity. If you receive such an offer, contact the organization directly, using a phone number or website you trust, and verify that the offer is legitimate.

Phishing scams: Cyber criminals are sending emails purporting to be from legitimate organizations such as the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Some victims received an email with an attachment supposedly containing information regarding the Coronavirus. Opening the attachment caused malware to infect their system. Other victims were asked to enter their email login credentials to access the information, and the scammers then harvested their login credentials.

Donation scams: Fraudsters may use legitimate social media sites to seek donations for fraudulent charitable causes related to the virus. Rather than clicking to donate through a social media post, especially if you're not familiar with the sender, do some research first to make sure your donation is going to a legitimate organization. Follow the same precautions if you receive a phone call or email asking for a donation.

Non-delivery scams: Criminal actors advertise in-demand medical supplies for preventing or protecting against the Coronavirus: medical masks, gloves, disinfectant, etc. They demand upfront payments or initial deposits, then abscond with the funds and never complete delivery of the ordered product.

In short, stop and think before giving out any personal information, clicking on any links, or sending out any money. While you're taking precautions to help protect yourself from the virus, make sure to protect yourself from scams as well.
